PHILIP MONIER, III
Philip Monier, III is of counsel at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP. Since joining LPK in 1998 he has focused a significant amount of his time obtaining compensation for children who have been injured as a result of lead poisoning. Additionally, he practices insurance litigation to compel insurance companies to honor their contractual obligations. He also handles cases involving medical malpractice, elevator safety, product liability, construction accidents, and toxic exposure to chemicals in the workplace.
During his career, Philip has obtained over $50 million dollars in verdicts and settlements, on behalf of severely injured clients. He has also represented clients before the New York State Appellate Courts and the Federal Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Many of the appeals that Philip has successfully argued have resulted in important decisions, which have since been relied upon by other courts.
Philip is admitted to practice law before the New York and New Jersey State Courts as well as the Federal Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice law before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Furthermore, Philip has been specially admitted to handle cases in other jurisdictions as well, such as Delaware and Connecticut.
In 1988, Philip received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John's University, College of Business Administration. In 1991, he graduated, cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law where he served as a member of the St. John's Law Review and the Faculty Research Assistance Program. He was a recipient of the St. Thomas Moore Scholarship. While in law school, Philip had the privilege of interning and clerking for distinguished Judges from the Southern District of New York, the United States Court of International Trade, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. |
